Just got back from an amazing weekend at the National Snow Show where we exhibited with our partners at Solutions 4 Feet.
The show definitely acts like a psychological kick starter to the season and it's great to see the public attending in such numbers. we were really busy for the whole weekend. We don't go to retail, ski shows are not the environment to have your boots fitted whatever other retailers tell you. No, we go to advise and educate.
We offer boot evaluations and adjustments too but just ask for a donation to Disability Snowsports UK for our time rather than charging. We saw some great people and over the coming weeks both myself and Colin will be fitting lots of clients who first found out about us at the show. The most memorable being a young lady who had a boot she had bought from a friend that was a minimum of 25 years old - some Friend!
The best bit about the weekend though is reconnecting with all our ski industry buddies for food and the odd beer over the weekend. Always a good craic and always feels long overdue by the time October comes around as we often haven't seen each other since the previous season.
We catch up on summers shenanigans and news about each others lives. Long lost brothers and sisters reconnecting and it really is a tonic!
So, I'm now pumped to get on with the season and can't wait to see you at the shop for ski chat soon!
